From January 1, 2025, the Gekko Group will take over the prestigious hotel on Steinplatz, which will now welcome its guests as Roomers Berlin. A special highlight will be a new restaurant in collaboration with The Duc Ngo, which is set to form the heart of the hotel.

Since its opening in 1913, the building has undergone numerous transformations and has served as a meeting place for artists, intellectuals and celebrities. As part of the rebranding to Roomers Berlin, this historical legacy of the hotel will be preserved and continued through the Gekko Group’s luxury lifestyle concept.

Serious BBQ since 2012

The BBQ food concept of Chicago Williams is pure passion for “maximum meat performance”. The concept is based on Nawid Samawat, friend and partner of the Gekko Group. Since 2012 he has dedicated himself to Ribs, Pastrami and more at the first Chicago Williams in Berlin.

With the opening of Gekko House in early 2020, the Chicago Williams is also represented in Frankfurt and a popular spot for hotel guests as well as locals. Natural quality, original side dishes and refreshing drinks are the pillars of the restaurant, the highlight of the open kitchen is the bright red smoker. In summer, the Chicago Beach Rooftop is the perfect place for a view of the city and the Frankfurt skyline.

Since January 2020 Roomers has unveiled its ne restaurant Burbank in collaboration with Vietnamese-born chef, The Duc Ngo. Following three successful restaurants together: moriki Frankfurt, moriki Roomers Baden-Baden and the Golden Phoenix in Berlin, founders Micky Rosen and Alex Urseanu are pleased to partner once again with the contemporary chef at Roomers in Gutleutstrasse, Frankfurt.

At Burbank, The Duc Ngo merges laid back Californian cuisine with pan-Asian flavours, for an inventive and unconventional menu boasting fresh and colourful dishes.

In early 2020, the first Gekko House opened in Frankfurt’s Gallusviertel, nearby the fair. On six floors, the new house with 128 rooms and suites is the center for international guests. The design of the hotel was taken over by the Frankfurt team of Morgen Interiors.

On the ground floor, the Berlin BBQ concept Chicago Williams from friend and partner of Gekko Group Nawid Samawat promises “serious barbecuing since 2012”. Both overnight guests and locals enjoy “maximum meat performance” here with ribs, beef brisket and pastrami.
