Frankfurt am Main, December 5, 2024 \u2013 The Gekko Group is pleased to announce significant developments in Berlin as the year draws to a close. Beginning January 1, the group will assume management of the renowned Hotel am Steinplatz, which will reopen under the Roomers brand. Simultaneously, the Sircle Collection will take over management of the boutique Provocateur Berlin hotel.<\/p>\n
Hotel am Steinplatz, an architectural masterpiece by the celebrated architect August Endell, boasts a storied history. Since its opening in 1913, the building has undergone multiple transformations, serving as a gathering place for artists, intellectuals, and prominent<\/p>\n
personalities. With its rebranding to Roomers Berlin, the hotel\u2019s historic legacy will be preserved while being elevated through the luxury lifestyle concept of the Gekko Group.<\/p>\n
A major highlight of the new Roomers Berlin will be its gastronomic offering, developed in collaboration with The Duc Ngo. Having previously partnered with Micky Rosen and Alex Urseanu on successful ventures like moriki, Burbank, and Golden Phoenix, The Duc Ngo will bring a French brasserie concept to life as the heart of the hotel.<\/p>\n
Folkert Krause, formerly General Manager of Roomers Frankfurt, will take the helm as General Manager of Roomers Berlin.
